About this blog...
December 30, 2025
I started this blog to showcase my enormous personal Christmas music collection. I personally own all the CDs and LPs reviewed or showcased on this blog. The main purpose of the blog is to give me a place where I can broadcast my personal opinions of those CDs or LPs. (It’s also a good way to brag about my very large collection of Christmas music 😊). Those reviews can be found under the Reviews tab.
The Home page has excerpts of the most recent Reviews, along with links to my About page and the Contact page where you can email me directly.
Also, throughout the blog, you can find Misc. Posts about things related to my collection; how I catalog the music, the genres I use to quantify Christmas music, how I came about my Top 500 Classic Christmas Recordings, or whatever might be on my mind that day.
Also, there is a List of unique CDs and LPs that fit into a particular niche, mostly those CDs and LPs that were sold through certain retailers, or groups or organizations that released Christmas music.
The Categories tab has links to pages where all the current reviews of the CDs and LPs of that genre can be found in one place.
A more in-depth discussion about this blog can be found under the Misc. Posts page.
I hope you enjoy it and comment if you wish. 😊
About me...
December 30, 2025
I’ve always enjoyed listening to music, and I’ve always loved Christmas. As a middle-aged adult, I decided I liked Big Band music and Pop Standards more than Rock and decided I wanted to start a CD collection of that kind of music. Afterall, Rock and Pop music was plentiful on the radio.
Fast forward about 10 years, and I decided I wanted to collect Christmas music by those same artists. Also, I wanted to dig deep and get as many Christmas releases as possible from the Classic Christmas Music Era, approx. 1948 – 1974, and newer Christmas music as well. I didn’t want to limit myself to just one style of Christmas music because I LOVE all kinds of Christmas music.
Now my collection is rather large. I have Christmas music from Big Bands, Pop Vocalists, R&B, Country, Gospel, Hip Hop and Disco, and many other genres.
This blog was created as a fun place where I can show off my enormous collection of Christmas music. I hope you enjoy it and comment if you wish. 😊
