Some notes about some of the CDs on this list :

First off, no Charles Dickens – A Christmas Carol were included.  Suffice it to say, almost all are Non-Music, Recital, Etc. kind of Christmas CDs.  And they can all be found under their own list.

Abbot & Costello – Christmas Stocking : Features the complete Christmas radio broadcast exactly as heard on December 12, 1946.

Avon – Avon Goes On Record To Bring You The Most Profitable Christmas Ever : Side 1 contains a Sales seminar about increasing sales during Christmas 1968.

Avon – Santa’s Magic Mirror Record And Picture Book : I believe the record contains 2 uplifting stories for children.  My copy has never been opened and I will know more in the future after I have digitalized it.

Bing Crosby – A Christmas Story : Every other selection is a spoken word story.

Boris Karloff – The Year Without A Santa Claus : The first side of the original album contains a 17-minute spoken word story by Boris Karloff.

Captain Kangaroo – Captain Kangaroo Introduces You To The Nutcracker Suite : Mostly a spoken word record with a few musical interludes.

Carol Channing – The Year Without A Santa Claus : Also contains three other spoken word Christmas stories.

Chet Dowling And Bill Minkin – Chet Dowling And Bill Minkin Present Senator Bobby’s Christmas Party : This is a comedy record from 1967 with voice impersonations of Senator Robert Kennedy and other family and friends.

Disney – Walt Disney Presents A Christmas Adventure In Disneyland : Mostly stories with a couple of songs in between.

Everett McKinley Dirksen – At Christmas Time : Spoken word stories accompanied by music background.

James Earl Jones – Christmas Story – Words And Music 2 CD : 2nd CD begins with two selections of James Earl Jones telling The Story Of Christmas from St. Luke’s Gospel.  The CD is greatly misleading.  The first CD contains 24 traditional Christmas songs sung by St. Paul’s Cathedral Choir and the Norwich Cathedral Choir.  After James Earl Jones is finished with his two brief selections, the rest of the second CD contains 15 traditional Christmas songs performed by Serge Baudo And The Royal Music College Edinburgh.

Lennie Weinrib – Have A Jewish Christmas… : This is another comedy Christmas album from 1967.

Sesame Street – Christmas Eve On Sesame Street : 4 spoken word entries and 2 Christmas songs.

United States Air Force – United States Air Force Presents Christmas Radio-Programs : Side 2 contains a spoken word story by Boris Karloff recorded especially for this album.

United States Air Force Band – Merry Christmas From George Kennedy : Side 1 has 2 spoken word Christmas stories from George Kennedy.

United States Air Force Symphony Orchestra – Holiday Greetings And Best Wishes – United States Air Force Recruiting Service And Your Local Recruiter : One side of LP has 5 spoken Christmas messages and the other side has 3 Seasonal songs.

Various Artist – Mr. Pickwick’s Christmas By Charles Dickens / A Child’s Christmas In Wales By Dylan Thomas 2 LP : This two-record set contains only one story from Dylan Thomas.  Side 1 contains one song played on an authentic vintage music box and a Christmas story from Sir Lewis Casson.  Side 2 contains a story from Boris Karloff and one Christmas song played on an authentic vintage music box.  Side 3 contains the story from Dylan Thomas and two Christmas songs played on authentic vintage music boxes.  Side 4 contains two Christmas stories from Carol Channing and four traditional Christmas songs played on authentic vintage music boxes.
